Pittsburgh Adult Entertainment: 12th Person Investigated In Colombia Scandal

A total of 24 people — 12 Secret Service members and 12 U.S. military members — are under investigation in the alleged prostitution scandal that occurred before Obama arrived in Cartagena on April 13.

That includes interviews with every Secret Service member on site, hotel staff and alleged prostitutes, a source said Friday.
The 11 Secret Service employees accused of consorting with prostitutes arrived earlier the same day as a part of the “jump team” that flies in on military transport planes with vehicles in the president’s motorcade.

While soliciting prostitution is in most cases legal for adults in Colombia, military law bars service members from patronizing prostitutes, engaging in conduct unbecoming an officer or, for enlisted personnel, conduct “prejudicial to good order and discipline.” It is also considered a breach of the Secret Service’s conduct code, government sources said.

Pittsburgh Adult Entertainment: 12th military member tied to prostitution scandal

12th military member tied to prostitution scandal

Meanwhile, the White House still faced fire Monday because of the prostitution scandal. It moved anew to keep itself at arm’s length in two ways. Led by its top lawyer, the White House internally investigated and then ruled out misconduct by the White House staff members who helped arrange the president’s trip ahead of his arrival in Colombia. Obama’s chief spokesman, Jay Carney, sought to make clear that the “White House Communications Agency,” which has now been implicated by the widening scandal, is a military unit and not a White House one.

Six Secret Service employees, including two supervisors, have been forced out of the agency amid the scandal that erupted the morning of April 12 when a fight over payment between a Colombian prostitute and a Secret Service officer spilled into the hallway of the Hotel Caribe. They were part of Obama’s advance security team in Cartagena. One officer was cleared of serious wrongdoing but will face administrative action, the ag …

Pittsburgh Adult Entertainment: More firings expected in Secret Service scandal

WASHINGTON (AP) — The chairman of a House committee investigating an alleged Secret Service prostitution scandal predicted more firings as key lawmakers and President Barack Obama’s top re-election adviser expressed confidence Sunday that the agency will effectively deal with the incident.
“Every possible lead is being examined,” said Rep. Peter King, who heads the House Homeland Security Committee. King, R-N.Y., said he expected that in the “near future, several other” members of the Secret Service will leave.
“What they were thinking is beyond me,” King told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
So far, six agents have lost their jobs. They were among agents pulled from duty in Cartagena, Colombia, after allegations that the men brought prostitutes back to their hotel. The incident occurred this month shortly before Obama arrived for a meeting of regional presidents.

Pittsburgh Adult Entertainment: More Secret Service officers expected to lose jobs

WASHINGTON (AP) — At least three more Secret Service officers implicated in a prostitution scandal in Colombia were expected to lose their jobs Friday, a federal official told The Associated Press, and the Pentagon acknowledged that an 11th military person was involved.

Eleven Secret Service employees were put on administrative leave following an incident in Colombia that involved at least some agency personnel bringing prostitutes to their hotel rooms. News of the incident, which involves as many as 20 Colombian women, broke a week ago after a fight over payment between a prostitute and a Secret Service agent spilled into the hotel hallway. A 24-year-old Colombian prostitute told The New York Times that the agent agreed to pay her $800 for a night of sex but the next morning offered her only $30. She eventually left the hotel, she told the newspaper, after she was paid $225.

GOP Sen: Scandals expose Obama leadership weakness
LAURIE KELLMAN Associated Press Published: April 19, 2012 1:16PM
WASHINGTON (AP) — A Southern Republican is raising questions about whether President Barack Obama is capably leading the government.
Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama tells reporters the president should take responsibility for the Secret Service, GSA and energy company Solyndra scandals and insist on a government culture in which taxpayer dollars are not wasted. He said, “I don’t sense that this president has shown that kind of managerial leadership.”
Sessions is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is expected to receive a briefing Friday from the Secret Service and hold a hearing next week. The service has ousted three of 11 agents and officers alleged to have cavorted with prostitutes in Colombia in advance of Obama’s visit there.

Pittsburgh Adult Entertainment: MISS ON SCENE: The Many Loves of a Southern Cinephile

… we have his George, a newly sprung heavy looking for work in the only business he knows. Unfortunately, his profile has been reduced to the point that the only work he can find is the humiliating task of chauffeuring around a svelte, high-class black prostitute, Simone (Cathy Tyson). Of course, George is the clumsily passionate single father of a sweet little girl, and can’t help his chivalrous instinct from interfering with business as usual. As he cultivates a warm rapport with Simone, if not some sexual feelings as well, he finds himself spiraling farther into her world, her mystery, and her obsessions. Mind you, there’s no hooker with a heart of gold here, just solid stone. This film also captures Michael Caine in one of his reptilian, sociopathic, pre-avuncular roles, as I much prefer him (

Pittsburgh Adult Entertainment: Secret Service prostitution scandal roils DC

Secret Service prostitution scandal roils DC

WASHINGTON (AP) — A prostitution scandal involving the Secret Service has grown in scope, with the disclosure that U.S. agents and military personnel had been with at least 20 women in hotel rooms before President Barack Obama arrived in Colombia for a summit with Latin American leaders.

“Some are admitting (the women) were prostitutes, others are saying they’re not, they’re just women they met at the hotel bar,” King said in a telephone interview. Sullivan said none of the women, who had to surrender their IDs at the hotel, were minors. “But prostitutes or not, to be bringing a foreign national back into a secure zone is a problem.”

Last Thursday, 11 Secret Service agents were recalled to the U.S. from Colombia and placed on administrative leave after a night of partying that allegedly ended with at least some bringing prostitutes back to their hotel. On Monday, the agency announced that it also had revoked the agents’ security clearance.

Pittsburgh Strip Clubs: Man Heading to Trial on Rape Charges

Aaron Duran, 36, is accused of drugging the drinks of two women on separate occasions at area bars before taking them back to his Greentree Road home and raping them.
Scott police arrested him on March 6 and charged him with two counts each of sexual assault, raping an unconscious victim and rape of a substantially impaired person.
At a preliminary hearing on April 12, District Judge Gary Zyra held him for trial on one sexual assault charge and three of the four rape charges. Zyra dismissed the other two charges.
Scott police allege Duran drugged a 34-year-old woman’s drink while at a McKees Rocks strip club on June 30 and took her home before raping her. Police also said he sexually assaulted a 19-year-old Moon Township woman on Sept. 17.
