FBI, police raid home near Washington High School
WASHINGTON, Pa. —
The FBI and state police raided a home near Washington High School on Monday.
Channel 11’s Dave Bondy reported that the house on Church Street was raided as part of a drug investigation that started in Allegheny County on Sunday.
Residents said the area has a major drug and prostitution problem and they’re happy to see police cracking down.
“It’s bad around here, with all the schools and kids seeing that when they go to school,” said neighbor Robert Nolan.
Washington Police Chief Robert Lemons said he has made it a priority to saturate the area with officers to cut down on crime.
Lemons said over the past few months several arrests have been made and neighbors said they are starting to see a difference.

While it is unclear what exactly prompted Baldwin’s outburst, Politico points out that his “use of the word ‘whore’ can be expected to draw plenty of negative feedback and comparisons to radio host Rush Limbaugh calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke a ’slut’ and ‘prostitute‘ last month.”
Inhofe’s camp has since quipped back, with a spokesman writing in an email to reporters on Monday:
These kind of outrageous statements made recently on Twitter by Robert Kennedy Jr. and Alec Baldwin stand in stark contrast to the civil debate Sen. Inhofe had with Rachel Maddow last week. In truth, the far left and Hollywood elites have lost on their pet cause of global warming. The only way to get attention these days is to make outlandish and irresponsible comments on Twitter.
The spokesman was referring to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s tweet last month in which he labeled Inhofe “big oil’s top call girl.”

Police crackdown on prostitutes, drug dealers near Washington schools
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Residents of Washington, Washington County said a major drug and prostitution problem is happening between the town’s high school and an elementary school.
Washington Police Chief Robert Lemons said they’re heard the concerns of people living in the area and are hoping to crackdown on the problems.
Lemons said the area around Washington High School is highly populated with children who walk to and from school on a daily basis. Lemons said there is also a presence of drug dealers and prostitutes among the school children.
“You have an elementary school around the corner and the high school right here and all of these problem cells are in between so it’s definitely a concern of ours,” Lemons said.

Lemons said he’s ordered officers to saturate the area in hopes of sending the drug dealers and prostitutes out of town.

The non-jury trials of two former Pittsburgh Police detectives charged with operating a prostitution ring have been postponed until April.
Talib Kevin Ghafoor, 56, and Faquar Holland, 39, will appear before Common Pleas Judge Donna Jo McDaniel April 30 for non-jury trials.

Posted at 08:51 AM ET, 03/06/2012 The Morning Plum: Axelrod tattoos Romney with Rush `slut’ comment By Greg Sargent
It’s hard to overstate what a huge gift Rush Limbaugh handed Democrats when he labeled Sandra Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute,” and Dems will do all they can to ensure that Limbaugh continues to loom large over the presidential race. Case in point: David Axelrod, in a new CNN interview, has considerably raised the stakes in this fight, slamming Mitt Romney for his “timid” and “cowardly” response to Limbaugh’s diatribes. Video here :
“I was kind of shocked when Governor Romney, all he had to say was, `Well that isn’t language I would have used.’ What about the spirit of what was said? I thought that was a cowardly answer and it was a test of leadership, and one that he failed…

VisitPittsburgh already works with convention bureaus in Cleveland and Niagara Falls to market the region’s attractions to Europe and China, said Joe McGrath, president of Allegheny County’s tourist promotion agency. “Actually, Andy Warhol has more fame outside of Pittsburgh than here,” he said, especially in China.
He said VisitPittsburgh is always looking to promote new ventures without undercutting the great attractions already here and that a pop culture hall of fame could have merit. “We think Pittsburgh has enough claim to it. It cuts across the whole spectrum, from music, to song, certainly to Warhol.”
Certainly, housing a Hall of Fame in one of Pittsburgh’s museums would make the most sense — either the Heinz History Center, Warhol Museum or Downtown’s ToonSeum.
“There an old empty porn shop next to us,” joked Joe Wos, executive director of the ToonSeum on Liberty Avenue, referring to the Cultural District’s former life as a red light district.

Breitbart was at the center of two video controversies in recent years — one that led to the firing of an Agriculture Department employee over an edited video of what appeared to be a racist remark, and another that embarrassed the community group ACORN when workers were shown counseling actors posing as a prostitute and pimp.
Breitbart is known for disseminating an edited video that showed an Agriculture Department employee making what appeared to be racist remarks.
Sherrod, who is black, was fired from her job as Georgia state rural development director in July 2010 after the video surfaced. She is seen telling a local NAACP group that she was initially reluctant to help a white farmer save his farm more than two decades ago, long before she worked for USDA.
…
Breitbart’s websites also featured a 2009 hidden-camera sting video that brought embarrassment to the community group ACORN. The videos show ACORN staffers offering advice on taxes and other issues to actors posing as a prostitute and pimp.

Like clockwork, Jay passed me a second time, but this time didn’t immediately walk onstage. Holding his mic and a bottle of Ace of Spades, he began talking to the crowd. Initially unsure of where he was going with this dialogue, it soon became clear he was setting up the Gladiator-infused “What More Can I Say.” After about 30 seconds, the door opened, he was on the stage, the door was closed, and he was gone.
“What More Can I Say” bled into the two-song Jigga medley (”Jigga My Nigga,” “Jigga What, Jigga Who”). Following this, he launched into “Big Pimpin,” and after finishing the classic Pimp-C verse, he started the show’s finale, “Young Forever.” Blending in his verse from Young Jeezy’s “I Do” and replacing the Mr. Hudson-assisted chorus with the glorious Bridget Kelly, the concert seemed to be ending on a calm, classy note, appropriate for a venue like Carnegie Hall.
